Kaila Knox Mwale is the wife of Julius Mwale and, with him, a named defendant in Shaw v. Mwale (Case No. 1:24-cv-00122, D. Utah). She is the daughter of virologist Dr. Konstance K. Knox, associated in the site’s reporting with Coppe Laboratories, Viracor, the Wisconsin Viral Research Group, and Viracor’s Institute for Viral Pathogenesis.
According to the site’s reporting, Kaila met Julius Mwale through Facebook while she was studying nursing at Columbia University. Julius Mwale is the central figure of the fraud allegations documented across this record and its companion site, juliusmwale.com. He is a named defendant in Shaw v. Mwale (Case No. 1:24-cv-00122, U.S. District Court for the District of Utah) and in the N24-2030 eviction case, in which the landlord sought a $522,663.46 judgment over the Alamo, California estate the couple presented as their own.
He is the promoter of the Mwale Medical and Technology City project in Kakamega County, Kenya — marketed as a world-leading smart city anchored by Hamptons Hospital, represented as the world’s largest hospital — which the site’s reporting alleges does not match documented reality. Kaila Knox Mwale is his wife and co-defendant.

Derek William Knox
Presented as head of KE International · Brother-in-law of Julius Mwale
Derek William Knox — introduced publicly as “Derek William” — was presented, according to the site’s reporting, as a rocket scientist formerly with Boeing who was recruited by Julius Mwale to run KE International, described as the U.S.-based engineering firm engaged to build the smart-city projects (and, the reporting notes, the firm also said to have been engaged for a similar project in Senegal).
The reporting alleges that his full name is Derek William Knox, that he is the brother of Kaila Knox Mwale, and disputes the credentials as represented. It further alleges that he lives at Julius Mwale’s residence in San Jose with his wife — who the reporting identifies as Lisa Langdon, said to present herself as “Michelle” — and their two children, and that Langdon ran a staffing company presented as being worth nearly a billion dollars, which the reporting describes as bogus.

Allyn Christine Knox
Presented as “Chief of Staff” · Sister-in-law of Julius Mwale
Introduced as “Christine,” she was presented, according to the site’s reporting, as Julius Mwale’s chief of staff and as a former personal assistant to former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan. The reporting alleges her real name is Allyn Christine Knox, sister of Kaila Knox Mwale, and disputes both representations — alleging instead that she worked as a babysitter for Kofi Annan’s granddaughter, and that after a relationship ended in Switzerland she moved in with her sister Kaila and became involved in the family’s activities.

Daniel Knox
Brother-in-law of Julius Mwale
Daniel Knox is Kaila Knox Mwale’s brother. According to the site’s reporting, he joined the family business after graduating with an engineering degree, became heavily involved in its dealings, and spent time in jail in Kenya. The reporting states that he has since married, started a family, moved to Boston, and — with his mother, Konstance Knox — started a company called Fertility Phoenix.

Amanda (Knox) Cowart
Sister-in-law of Julius Mwale
Amanda Knox Cowart is Kaila Knox Mwale’s sister and the wife of Isaac Cowart. According to the site’s reporting, she and her husband had kept their distance from the family’s business activities until recently, when they were seen at the Mwale Medical and Technology City site in Kenya thanking “American Sponsors” for funds raised — which the reporting presents as a sign of wider family involvement.
